Full-Time vs. Part-Time

A student is considered full-time if they are enrolled for the equivalent of 12 credits or more. The UIC Foundation will consider one credit to equal the equivalent of 12.5 hours of instruction time in a vocational program. In order for a vocational program to be considered full-time, the individual must be in attendance at the institution for a minimum of 150 hours during the term. Graduate students will be considered full-time or based on the published guidance on their institution’s website.
